The Absurdity of Nysom Wike by Jaiyeola Ajasa

The more you look the less you see. The more you think about it. Then you will go crazy. Nyesom Wike is here today in Abuja acting as a de facto president. Mind I remind you that he played the role of INEC chief. Before you blink. This same man is on his way to Rivers State. With a convoy of over one hundred cars. While there for twenty minutes, Wike will preside over the affairs of the State. He is I must remind you the de facto governor of that state too. For those of trying to think. I must remind again that Wike was the former governor of that state. All these shenanigans in a country with a president. And a state with a governor. Somehow Wike knows he can destroy those he helped create. And those he helped create are very afraid of Wike destroying them.

The story is told of Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB) inviting Chief Artur Nzeribe over for coffee. He had on the table a dossier on the atrocities the fraudulent millionaire had perpetrated over the decades.

Compiled by Police Commissioner Gambo. IBB gave the file to Nzeribe to read. The Oguta Chief calmly looked at the General. Then said “ you know all these bad things about me. What bad things do you want me to do for you. You did not invite me over here for tea.” That day ABN was born. That was the beginning of the end for the June 12 election.

The theater of the absurd starring Nyesom Wike is a play written and directed by Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. A play is as good as its director. When you see a leaf dancing on the river. There is a mammy water beating the drum inside the river. Wike is PDP. Opppss he has been kicked out of that political party. The absurdity gets even more intrinsicate if not ridiculous. A perfect example of absurdity. Wike the anti character with the anti language of the anti drama play. All to express the tragic theme in a comic form. Only it hurts when we laugh.
