Where Is The APC Driving Nigeria? | Guardian (NG)

As the elections are approaching, local government workers are receiving better attention and some traditional rulers are bribed one way or another.

As usual, the excuses for governmental failures will return when the elections are over in 2019.

But, the All Progressives Congress (APC) cannot be an option to Saraki dynasty, now on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), given the level of carnage and economic destruction of Nigeria, being perpetrated by GMB, 2015 till date.

Thus, there can be no better alternative to the PDP in Kwara, as in Nigeria, generally, than the Third Force coalition, proposed by the former President, General Olusegun Obasanjo (OBJ).

We now have several third force coalitions, but there is every reason to trust the octogenarian OBJ and his allies, such as Olisa Agbakoba, Olu Falae and people like that.

The results in the by-elections in Ekiti and Kogi indicate that many third force coalitions may not be able to floor the APC, unless they submit to a body of trustworthy coordinators, to chart a solid future for Nigeria.

The members of the coordinating body (OBJ and co.) must be selfless and impartial.

Some people are distracting Nigerians with OBJ’s past but the real evil in that is that they deny OBJ of ever doing anything good for Nigeria; a view that cannot be justified by the records.

What wrong did OBJ do that can compare with the carnage, genocide, and economic destruction of Nigeria, 2009 till date, and the most brutal Fulani herdsmen terrorism under the current President?

All of a sudden, OBJ is painted as the lamb of Satan that is to pay for GMB’s crimes against humanity, 2015 till date.

What GMB’s crimes against humanity? GMB doubles himself as the Petroleum Minister without accountability.

He increased fuel price from N97 to N145, and is recovering looted funds, yet the economy is degenerating and Nigeria’s debts are said to be skyrocketing by the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.

Where lays fairness to truthfulness and life of Nigeria as a nation?

The legislators, GMB and those with him in the presidency are apportioning themselves huge sums of money, while some Nigerians prefer to blame only the legislators; blaming everybody but the current number one enemy of Nigeria, GMB who is using bribery and propaganda beyond reasonable imaginations, saying he is building Nigeria!

But, the ball is in the court of Nigerians, if they think perpetration of carnage and economic destruction of Nigeria will ever stop under GMB and that he will be growing younger and stop going to London to squander hard currencies.

Can that be better than rotational presidency, for equity, unity, peace and sustainable progress, to be packaged with a written agreement by the Third Force coalition?

GMB and Osinbajo want pastors to condemn corruption, but not carnage and economic destruction of Nigeria, 2009 till date.

Electoral violence and ballot box snatching in by-elections indicate that Nigerians may become demoralised and apathetic to voting in 2019, if nothing is done to check the trend. GMB and Osinbajo are brutally desperate for reelection.

Yet, Kogi and Ekiti by-elections indicate that opposition political parties have no chance except by collapsing into a strong force, while everybody seems to be self-centred.

Can Nigeria’s elders come to the nation’s rescue, through massive mobilisation?

Finally, Nigeria is generally in a state of anomie and so, Saraki must not fault Akpabio’s defection except through court procedure.
