The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a suspected robber, Biodun Rasheed, who dresses like a herdsman while operating.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this on Thursday in a statement.
Oyeyemi said Rasheed was arrested on Wednesday following a distress call received by policemen attached to the Kemta division around 3.30am that robbers were operating along Ajebo Road in Abeokuta.
He said, “The DPO of Kemta division, CSP Opebiyi Sunday, mobilised his patrol team, which was joined by the men of So- safe corps and Vigilante Group of Nigeria and moved to the scene.
“On sighting the security men, the robbers took to their heels, but they were chased and one of them, Biodun Rasheed, who dressed like Fulani herdsmen to hide his identity, was arrested.
“He is currently helping the police in their efforts to apprehend the remaining members of the gang.”
