NFF appoints Siasia as Oliseh’s successor…….GUARDIAN

Siasia The Nigerian Football Federation has appointed former Super Eagles handler, Samson Siasia, as the new head coach of the senior national football team.

The appointment came after recommendations by the NFF Technical and Development Committee and was made less than 24 hours after Sunday Oliseh resigned citing lack of support and unpaid salaries to coaching staff and players of the team.

Siasia served as Super Eagles’ Head Coach between December 2010 and October 2011, before his contract was terminated following the team’s failure to qualify for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

He will be assisted by Salisu Yusuf, Emmanuel Amuneke who led Nigeria’s U-17 to 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup gold, and former goalkeeper Alloy Agu. Both Salisu Yusuf and Alloy Agu worked under Oliseh.
