Ice Prince Finally Gets Released From Ikoyi Prison

After being released from the Ikoyi Prison, Nigerian musician Ice Prince Zamani declared that freedom is valuable.

Earlier this month, the artist was detained on suspicion of kidnapping and assaulting a police officer.

After being freed, the artist later tweeted that “Freedom is Priceless” on his account.

His remark came days after Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, tweeted about Ice Prince’s detention.

At 3 am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station,” Hundeyin said.

“He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.”

According to his lawyer Folarin Dalmeida, the Iceprince was released after fulfilling the terms of his bail.

For the first time since his release, the rapper stressed the value of freedom via his Twitter account.
