A Former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mrs. Farida Waziri, has lost one of her daughters.
The lady, Mrs. Jackie Ifidon-Ola, (nee Waziri) was said to have died at an Abuja hospital in the early hours of Sunday after being rushed there for treatment.
A source close to the family said the deceased, who was based in London, was 39 years old and would be buried in Abuja on Saturday.
She is survived by her husband, two kids and her parents, Senator Ajuji Waziri and Mrs. Farida Waziri.
When contacted, Waziri’s media aide, Mr. Ade Williams, confirmed the development saying, “Since the incident happened, highly placed Nigerian leaders have been visiting the Waziri family to console them in their Abuja home.”
