Strong indications emerged Wednesday night, that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), may soon release the Publisher of ThisDay newspapers and President of Newspapers Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN), Mr. Nduka Obaigbena.
The interrogation of Obaigbena by the anti-graft agency continued Wednesday, after he voluntarily turned himself in on Tuesday.
A source, who spoke in confidence with New Telegraph Wednesday night, said the NPAN boss is offering explanations on the funds he allegedly received from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), under Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd).
The source disclosed that: “Obaigbena has (allegedly) …written an undertaking, to refund the money (allegedly) collected from ONSA within two weeks, perhaps as precondition to be released on administrative bail.”
