Dear Jimi: RE-WHAT DO YOU THINK?

jimiJimi,

I am forced to contact you and need you to please, answer this questions based on your previous talk on radio where you claimed generators where causing noise pollution in our country.

First,i ask you,do we honestly have a country?what is your definition of a country?is a country where people who pay their taxes stay a whole month without electricity?and the only explanation from our so called government is that the generation of  power dropped.Countries prepare for this issues,i will want you to know that i  was a great fan of APC but now,i seriously doubt that any political party in this country can rule this country as other great Nations  are being ruled.

You claimed that your neighbors run their gens for twenty four ours and to you, they should be taken to the mobile court for  noise pollution.I ask you,do you have a wife and kids at home?do you cook food and try to preserve the food in your home?do you have a dstv running in your home?do your kids need electricity to power the fans in this heat to sleep?i am a fifty-five year old man,i have heat rash because of the heat and i hear you talk and for the first time i felt totally betrayed, disappointed in you and your program.
What do you expect us to do,to allow our food spoil because the government could not provide electricity?,our children to fall sick, not to watch the dstv we are forced to pay monthly where other well governed countries pay as they view?

Why cant we hold our government accountable, whose responsibility is it to provide electricity?who has failed us?i am sure you know the answer. So,please, tell me why the government can not be taken to the so called mobile courts.

Nigerians are the easiest people in the world to govern,Fela got it right when he said we will be suffering and smiling,i stay in a prime area in surulere and we have not had light for a whole month and it does not bother anyone,This is the problem, who are you to hold responsible, the answer is nobody, because there is no accountability in this place we call Nigeria,no shame for failure,a government will know it is failing the people but will not resign, because they are not there  to serve us but to fill their pocket.

Jimi, you owe Nigerians an apology for your statement about running gens and mobile court,or maybe, you too have been paid to be a propaganda machine for the Lagos state government. If you have joined them,it is better you stop your program on air or i will be forced to ask MTN to stop being your sponsor and let the government be your sponsor.

Every campaign year, you hear the same thing allover,we will give you power,we will give you water,we will give you good roads, since 1960,no  government has been able to do one  of this things and Nigerians can not ask questions or react,is it that Nigerians are fools, drugged from birth not to react to the government,or  maybe we need another a war,a war that will bring us to our senses.I strongly believe that no political party as currently designed in this country can deliver any good governance to Nigerians. If the APC fails the people as it is failing now,we are in for serious problems.

  1. Uncle JD, good afternoon sir. I listen to you Tuesday-Friday and Sundays on classic FM. Please i will appreciate it very much if you can help me talk to the people in-charge of electricity at Randle Avenue, Surulere. I moved to the area about 4 years ago and I can say that i have not enjoyed electricity for once, it is really terrible i must tell you sir. We have not had electricity for 2 weeks now. When i asked people who have lived there for over 20years they said it has always been like that and nobody is doing nothing about it. Please help us broadcast and talk to the authority[HM Fashola] about it has i believe the electricity meant for us is been diverted to people who bribes them. This electricity serves as our security because there are no street lights. Thank you sir.

  2. I read this and laugh!!! The reason why we can’t fix our light problem is because whenever they push us to the wall all we do is to brake the wall and keep moving back and by doing that we are killing ourselves. You will see a man tat can’t afford good diet will spend thousand on fuel to power his I pass my neighbor generator all in the name of having light 24/7. I tell you majority of people with the generator don’t have a significant thing doing with the power. I see a friend kid today in church with rashes all over her body, this is someone that on generator 24/7 and my kids are looking fresh. Mind you I don’t have generator

  3. What a country?if this govt really want us to experience the change they said, there should be a task force or a commission put in place to attend to d masses complaint and injustice some of this govt organisation are treating d people who voted them intinto power.

  4. It’s quite frustrating and I wonder why we are not having class action suites against the discos, gencos, and transcos. Is it not possible for consumers to sue this entities and win compensation? I suffer terribly from my neighbour’s generators especially at night. I use inverters, quite cheap running cost and noiseless but ofcourse it can only supply for a considerable length of time after being charged for a considerable length of time by PHCN supply. It can’t power my fridge,ac and heaters but it’s maybe because I’m still single. But must we kill ourselves with environmental polution instead of fight a dysfunctional system?

  5. Mr Anthony I support u.u’ve said it all.i called Mr Jimi in one of his programme to tell him we’ve not had since last year Nov.Only for to tell me we Shd write NERC.is it not d same people I will write to.i expected him to send me thenumber of fashola or Ambode
