Thanks for all your comments during the morning program on classic FM during the various Front Page News.
I was more disturbed today to hear that the former Governor of Edo State is to earn or been paid a severance package of N350,000,000.00 (three Hundred and Fifty Million Naira) only. This for me is UNACCEPTABLE and should be stopped. But then who is going to stop all this.
Like you rightly mentions a lot needs to be done to ensure that all this large pay-off need be stopped when civil servants are on minimum wage of N18,000.00 and they are still be owed salaries talk less of the pensioners been paid.
My take are these:
1. We need to belong to a political group (party) to seek for political office.
2. There needs to be some form of campaign to sensitize the populace on all the activities of government and the need to stop all the pay off or large salaries been paid political office holders at the detriment of infrastructural development.
3. We need to do more to also reduce the cost of governance such as reduce the numbers at both houses of legislature (Federal Level). State Legislature, Local Government legislature. There are too many representations and they all are doing noting at the expense of you and i.
Uncle Jimi, i can go on and on but we need to discuss and channel a way forward for the generations of Nigerians unborn.
