Call For The Withdrawal of Traditional Titles From Wasiu Ayinde Marshal Anifowoshe Posted By Rasaq Oladapo

The attention of well-meaning sons and daughters of Ijebuland has been drawn to the recent conduct of Mr. Wasiu Ayinde Marshal Anifowoshe, whose actions, utterances, and deliberate attempts at distorting established royal lineage structures pose a grave threat to the peace, unity, and sanctity of our traditional institutions.

In view of his conduct, marked by willful falsification of genealogical claims, the propagation of misleading narratives, and the reckless insinuation that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is involved in matters relating to the internal selection processes of the Awujale of Ijebuland, we consider his actions not only irresponsible but capable of causing a breach of peace within our kingdom.
His continued interference and dissemination of unfounded innuendos have sought to create confusion, undermine centuries-old succession protocols, and cast aspersions on the integrity of respected institutions and individuals working diligently to ensure a smooth and lawful transition in the ongoing Awujale selection process.

In light of these grievous actions, and in the collective interest of preserving the honour, dignity, and sanctity of our traditional heritage, we hereby call for the immediate withdrawal of the titles of Olori Omoba and Otunba Afidipote of Ijebuland from Mr. Wasiu Ayinde Marshal Anifowoshe.

Furthermore, we respectfully call upon His Imperial Majesty, the Alaafin of Oyo, to review and withdraw from Mr. Anifowoshe the title of Mayegun of Yorubaland, as his recent conduct is unbecoming of a title holder of such stature, and does not reflect the nobility, restraint, and cultural responsibility expected of an ambassador of Yoruba tradition.

This call is necessary to safeguard the truth, restore order, protect the dignity of our royal institutions, and prevent any further attempt to disrupt the peace and cohesion of Ijebuland and the wider Yoruba nation.

We urge all stakeholders, custodians of tradition, and lovers of peace to stand firm in defence of history, truth, and due process.

Ijebu a gbe wa o.
