  1. Unfortunately, there is no news in what was portrayed in this report and it is very easy for me to sit here in my little corner and point my finger at “the powers that be” in my beloved country (I am actually beginning not to believe in the last statement). The news I am actually waiting for is the day we finally not only agree we have a full blown chronic problem and seriously begin to find solutions. It will probably take more than bloodshed to turn Nigeria around as we have continually accepted and adapted to whatever is thrown at us.

  2. Values are first learned at home and then influenced by society. When parents stop calling stealing and irresponsible behavior by their children “smartness” as long as they profit, we just might begin to chop the tree of corruption down. Green men do not come down from Mars to become leaders in Nigeria. Parents give birth to the children who grow to become leaders and of course the society influences them. Nigeria is certainly beginning to look very much like a pirate nation because corruption gets enough support from those who benefit. Those who benefit cut across many layers. Corruption has become institutionalized in a society where too many people think that each one of them is the most important person. Everything has become monetized and egos have gone haywire and solid values largely thrown out of the window.

  3. Honestly it has gotten to a time when Nigerians will arise and fight totally against corruption, no matter what it takes, Nigerians must be liberated.
