Dear Jimi: Misrepresentative

Good Morning Jimi

I listen to your program this morning on classic fm on Front page Review and am in support of what you said as regards our representatives in Senate and House of Rep donating hair dryers, clippers, small generators etc to the people they represent.

1. We did not send them, for them to come and buy these items for us in return
2. Why should people clap for them each time they present these items, is not their personal money for crying out loud.
3. They are indirectly telling us we have made enough money to settle you for voting us in
4. They are indirectly calling their people poor people and we can feed you
5. They are indirectly buying their conscience, hi guys vote for me again and I will settle you
In the real sense they should make laws that will enable us do a clean business and feed for ourselves
They should speak the mind of people on issues that bothers them.

We should stop celebrating this people for laughing at us each time they present these items

Is about time the electorate/people be wise

Mr. Andy

  1. From my understanding it’s a misplaced priority why the heck should we rejoice when streets are lighted up by generators when daily we don’t have a min of 1hour uninterrupted power supply in our homes, offices, business places when water pipes are channeled through open drainages,in 2016 MDG’s,SDG’s are far frm accomplished govt at all levels have failed woefully.

  2. I have often wondered why Senators and legislators distribute such items and even award road contracts. If we had a resemblance of good governance, shouldn’t all of these be the work of the countless agencies, ministries set up by government. What is the Ministry of Works doing when a senator is awarding contract for the construction of a bridge. We have a skewed structure of governance, a warped Presidential system and worse still a rogue national assembly.
