President Muhammadu Buhari says he is ready to work with Cyril Ramaphosa following his election as the president of the South Africa on Thursday.
In a statement issued by his media office, Buhari felicitated with the African National Congress (ANC) on the “peaceful transfer of power” that ousted Jacob Zuma.
He saluted the leadership and statesmanship of the former president and wished him the best in his future endeavours.
“President Buhari looks forward to working with the new President of South Africa, and to enhanced cooperation of the Governments of Africa’s two leading economies,” the statement read.
