We Built Abuja-Kaduna Rail To 99% Completion, Says PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressive Congress (APC) of appropriating the Abuja-Kaduna standard gauge rail line project, which was conceptualised, awarded and constructed by past PDP administrations.

In a statement by Dayo Adeyeye, its spokesman, the party said that the rail project launched by Buhari on Tuesday was “conceptualised by the Olusegun Obasanjo administration, and successive PDP administrations of President Umaru Yar’Adua and Goodluck Jonathan commenced work and built the project to 99 percent completion”.

“The only work done by President Muhammadu Buhari on the project was yesterday’s commissioning,” read the statement.

“The truth, which history will bear out, is that the PDP in its 16 years of rule successfully completed numerous projects that substantively changed the infrastructural landscape of Nigeria.

“Every one of those 16 years were years of great productivity with remarkable landmark achievements. This is very much unlike the APC which has already wasted one full year without even scratching one square meter of ground anywhere in the country.”

  1. I shudder that a PDP spokesman has the audacity
to show this contraption as a 21st century train built over sixteen years of underhanded deals and embezzlement of state resources in the name of ‘building’ a train line. Blinded by criminal opportunism these charlatans do not understand what is befitting of a nation like ours after over 50 years of independence.

  2. 16 years of impressive looting and sharing of our commonwealth.PDP suffocate Nigeria’s economy to unimaginable level.Raised the looting, banality and bastardization of every sanity in government to a state of casque.

  3. Ha ha ha ha, we hear. How did you arrive at your 99%? You had imaginary landmarks for 16yrs and capped it with monumental fraud against Nigeria, spending and sharing like there would be no tomorrow for nigeria and indeed, Nigerians. Give APC 16yrs (not 1yr) to be in the saddle and then do your fair comparison.
