A video showing the plight of Nigerian soldiers fighting Boko Haram in the North East has gone viral on the Internet, sparking outrage.
The undated video, which was uploaded on YouTube on Tuesday, showed several soldiers surrounding three of their colleagues who they alleged fainted due to lack of food and water.
One of the soldiers explained that over 70 soldiers fainted due to lack of water, adding that they had spent up to three days at their location without water and food.
Another soldier begged that their message should be passed to President Muhammadu Buhari, suggesting it would be wrong for them to perish for lack of water after surviving Boko Haram.

Uncle Jimi,I listened to your interview with Captain Blade, today Dec 21, 2016 on 91.3 FM,while i deeply sympathize with the soldiers, I would honestly be surprised if these boys are not fished out and dismissed quietly i.e if they haven’t already since the military claimed this happened 6months ago.
Question: Is there no chain of command where their grievances could have been channeled rather than go on social media to air their grievances?
Well we saw a different military then, when the military ruled the military, there was order and discipline but now what we have is politicians ruling the military and with that anything can happen….
Mr. President sir, your urgent intervention is needed to save the lives of these soldiers fighting for our great country Nigeria.
