Tinubu/Oyegun Face-off: South APC Blasts Frank, National Publicity Secretary By Clifford Ndujihe

LAGOS—LEADERS of the All Progressives Congress, APC in South-South geo-political zone have lampooned National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Timi Frank over his position on the ongoing crisis in the party. Frank, recently restated his call that APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun should resign following his handling of the crisis that hallmarked the Ondo State governorship primaries and his submission of the name of Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN as the party’s flagbearer to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu had also tackled Odigie-Oyegun over the matter.

Berating Timi Frank, in a statement by the chairman of South-South APC Leaders Forum, Chief John Harry, the leaders described Timi Frank as a disgrace to the APC, saying ‘’he lacks the ability to manage the party’s relationship with the general public. “His incompetence is setting our party back.

Timi Frank should learn to respect leadership.

A responsible leader should not take side on matters affecting his party. Frank’s utterances and attitude are geared towards causing disunity in the party.” The leaders defended Odigie-Oyegun, for his roles in the managing the party and described him as “a strong and competent leader.

Chief John Odigie-Oyegun knows his substance. He is working closely with President Muhammadu Buhari in the fight against corruption in the country.”
