If you’ve got a green card, you could get your hands on a handgun which is lightweight, ergonomic and durable and looks just like an iPhone.
Which, we think you’ll agree, is slightly concerning.
The ‘Ideal Conceal’ is a double-barelled .38 calibre that ‘will easily blend in with today’s environment’.
‘In its locked position it will be virtually undetectable because it hides in plain sight,’ reads the website.
Its maker, Mr Kirk Kjellberg, told CNN that he had the idea when a young boy in a restaurant saw his pistol and shouted ‘Mommy, Mommy, that man’s got a gun.
‘The whole restaurant looks at you like you’re about to shoot the place up,’ he said.
‘I thought to myself there’s got to be another way to be able to carry without bothering other people.’
Bill Johnson, of the National Association of Police Organisations, said: ‘In general, the concept of any kind of weapon that’s disguised, so that it’s not apparent that it’s a weapon, would be cause for concern.’
I think we agree, Mr Johnson.
Oh – and the gun, which is due for released in mid-2016, is a steal at $395 (£320).
