The Fall of Mudashiru Obasa and Cosmic Cycle DR O.A. OKUNAIYA

I am a student of Cosmic Science (Cycle). There are cosmic influences that manifest in various phenomena including man’s behavior on earth. The effect of these cosmic influences affect non-physical entities like rise and fall of empires, prices of commodities, indices, interest rates, business entities, health etc.
For the purpose of this write-up, I will limit my discussion on a 52-year cycle and its phases. This 52-year cycle manifests as unforgettable painful period in the life of man and woman. The 52-year is the average of 51 and 53. The former speaker of Lagos state House of Assembly, Rt Honorable Mudashiru Obasa was born on the 11th November, 1972. He was 52 years a couple of months ago and was impeached on the 10th January, 2025. He was the longest serving speaker in Nigeria. What a painful experience. I am not surprised at his spectacular fall from power. I know the bubble will burst when he started grandstanding with everybody in pollical space in Lagos State. It was a wrong time to be combative. I wish I had access to him to advise him to calm down as he was approaching 52 years of age.

Let me give some examples of how this 52-year cycle manifested in the lives of some notable nigerians, Nigeria and in international politics. Nigeria was created by the British in January 1st 1914. 52 years later (January 1966) there was a Military coup which altered the trajectory of Nigeria’s socio-economic and political development. It was a painful and regrettable event. It led to temporary break-up of Nigeria when Biafra seceded

Chief Obafemi Awolowo, one of the indiginous founding fathers of nigeria and the first Premier of old western region of Nigeria was born in 1909.In 1961 when he was 52 years old he had a runining battle with his deputy ,Chief Samuel Ladoke Akintola, and some members of his political party, Action Group. The crisis led to Awolowo being jailed in 1962 after being convicted on the charge of tresonable felony.this was the most traumatic and painful experience in is political career.

In 1946, the colonial government introduced the Richard Constitution. This constitution brought the Northern and Southern protectorates together constitutionally. 52 years later, i.e. 1998, the then Military government worked out a new Nigeria constitution to take effect on May 29, 1999. This constitution is a pain in the neck of Nigerians since 1999. As I wrote at page 205 of my book titled Nigeria and Cosmic Symbols (Past, Present and Future) that the Nigeria 1999 Constitution is a sterile constitution and if Nigeria does not bury the constitution, the constitution will bury Nigeria. The unfolding events since the adoption of the 1999 constitution have demonstrated the unworkability of the constitution.

The first general elections preceding the Nigeria independence took place in 1959. The election was manipulated to favor Sokoto Caliphate citizens. 52 years later in 2011, the result of the Presidential Election humiliated General Buhari a Nigerian Caliphate citizen. General Buhari broke down emotionally at his defeat, he wept openly. It was a painful experience for the caliphate political block. The 2011 election was a really watershed in Nigeria political history. The INEC Chairman was a Fulani man and, Buhari, a Fulani man, was roundly and squarely defeated by former president Goodluck Jonathan, a greenhorn politician, from a minority tribe and from the smallest state in Nigeria (– Bayelsa with only 8 local government). The caliphate ego was badly bruised.

The former president, Goodluck Jonathan, might be elated in 2011, but two years earlier, that is, 2009, he experienced a painful period. He was the vice president to late President Yar Adua. When Yar Adua was fatally sick and flown to Saudi Arabia for treatment, Jonathan was blocked by Yar Adua men from being sworn in as Acting President. He must have been painfully injured by this unconstitutional actions of Yar Adua men. Jonathan was born in 1957, hence he was 52 years in 2009 when all these painful political dramas were taking place. He was eventually sworn in as Acting president on the 9th of February 2010 after the National Assembly invoked the Doctrine of Necessity. May I add that Yar.

May I add that YarAdua widow Turai Yar Adua was also 52 years old in 2009. She must have experienced a painful period in 2009 when her husband was fatally sick.

General Ibrahim Babangida seems to resonate to this 52-year cycle. He took over power in August 1985 i.e. 25 years after Nigeria independence, which is close to half of 52 year cycle which is 26. In 1986, 26 years after Nigeria independence, he uncovered a planned coup to oust him from power. Those involved were tried, found guilty and executed. His bosom friend, Mamman Vatsa was among them this must have been very painful to him.

Babangida was born in 1941. He was 52 years old in 1993 when his administration conducted the June 12 1993 election, which eventually forced him unceremoniously out of power. The NEC Chairman, Henry Nwosu, that supervised that election was also 52 years old at the time. The outcome of the election must have been terribly painful to both Babangida and Henry Nwosu. General Babangida is proposing to launch his autobiography in February 20 2025. Curiously, this is close to 26 years (half of 52-year cycle) after the death of his friends, Late General Abacha, and Chief Moshood Abiola. I am tempted to predict that the backlash he would receive on his autobiography would be very painful to him.Embarrasing buried issues may be exhumed.

Every cycle has important phases: One quarter phase, Half of a phase, Three quarter of a phase, and Full cycle. One quarter phase is very challenging. Half of a phase is usually traumatic. Three quarter of a phase is second challenge. Full Cycle phase is a renewal. Now let me discuss the Half phase of the 52-year cycle. As stated earlier the first military coup was in 1966. 26 years after i.e. 1992 very close to 1993 June 12 election resulted in the military being disgraced in power.

General Yakubu Gowon who emerged as the Nigeria Head of State in July 1966 was overthrown in July 1975. 52 years later which would be 2027, the group that worked together to oust Gowon would have a date with history in 2027. Same year will be significant for General Gowon himself.

The People Democratic Party, PDP, was registered as a political party in 1998, 26 years later i.e. 2024 the party was embroiled in serious political crisis and it is still in that crisis. Instead of the party getting out of a hole, it keeps on digging. If care is not taken, the Party will bury itself. My advice to all stakeholders in the party is to calm down and resolve the political logjam. APC was registered as a political party in 2013, 26 years later i.e. 2039 the party may be embroiled in serious political crisis.

My advice is that the party leadership should reform and position the party for the future challenges.

The 1999 Constitution as amended may go through serious political crisis in 2025 i.e. 1999 plus 26 equals 2025.

Let’s go international: ECOWAS Treaty was signed on the 28 of May 1975. 52 years later which is 2027 ECOWAS may convulse. The signs are there with the exit of Sahel States exiting ECOWAS.

The birth of Petro-dollar dated back to 1973 when the United States of America and Saudi Arabia governments struck a deal to price and trade crude oil in U.S. dollar. This development eventually pushed the U.S dollar to a reserve currency. 52 years later i.e. 2025 the geo-political discussion is the de-dollarization. Which means many countries are moving away from using USD in international trade. This will eventually weaken dollar dominance in international trade. This will be painful development for the United States of America.

From all the examples I have cited abroad, I have established that the 52 years cycle manifest as a painful period. My advice to those that are approaching 52 years (51-53) is to calm down and be prayerful so as to weather the storm. It is a cosmic (natural law) that have been woven into creation.

Prophet Mohammed (SAW) was 52 years old when he had to flee Mecca to Medina to save his life. It must have been a painful period in his life

Lastly, the then Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido sanusi, who was born in1961,was openly critisising President Jonathan administration in 2013. he was 52 years old then.Ppresident Jonathan had to suspend him in feb 2014.He lost his covetous job for cofronting is boss just like Mudasiru Obasa(at 52) was doing in Lagos.

My advice to Mudashiru Obasa is to calm down during this painful period. Or else he will make a bad situation worse. This 52 years cycle is not arbitrary. It corresponds to a heavenly body called Chiron whose cycle runs 52 years. This is in line with Hermitic philosophy – As Above, So Below.
