Samsung Electronics has reported a 41% jump in quarterly profits, boosted mainly by strong sales of its Galaxy range of smartphones.
It made a net profit of 7.15tn won ($6.4bn; £4.2bn) in the January to March quarter, up from 5.05tn won during the same period a year ago.
And with its latest smartphone model – the Galaxy S4 – set to go on sale later this week, analysts expect profits to rise further in the coming months.
Bryan Ma, an analyst at IDC Asia Pacific, told Leisha Chi that the firm is doing “very very well”.
