Removal Of Pastor: God Puts Gov Ambode To Shame | PMNews

The Biblical saying that when men remove their carpet God will provide his own with a rug came to pass in the life of sacked Chaplain of Chapel of Christ the Light, Venerable Femi Taiwo, on Thursday.

Less than 48 hours after the Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode, evicted him and his family from their official quarters within the church, Venerable Taiwo was blessed with a fully furnished apartment from his church members who were dissatisfied with the way and manner he was treated.

Infact, to show his dissatisfaction with Ambode’s action, God caused members of the church to rally around Taiwo, who was sacked without any query or official reason. By Thursday the pastor had received four offers of apartments for him to settle in with his family.

Taiwo was ordered to exit his official quarters where he lived with his wife and two children within 24 hours by Ambode.

Pleas from church leaders and elders failed to save the cleric, who still had two years to spend as the presiding chaplain.

Trouble started for the cleric, described as a humble man of God, by members of his congregation when he allegedly angered the governor’s wife, Bolanle Ambode, who had visited the chapel on Sunday, May 14, when the church held an anointing service.

Punch reports that Taiwo has now settled into a new and furnished accommodation provided by members of his congregation.

Taiwo told the newspaper that he got five offers of apartment from different members of the African church congregation.

A source disclosed that church members who were angered and touched by the way the priest was treated decided to help the cleric and his family.

“Apart from the apartment he moved to, he got four offers of apartment from different members of the African church congregation,” the source said.
