The Ekiti State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), on Monday, urged the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government to place Governor Ayodele Fayose under serious security watch, noting that his comments over the activities of the Department of State Services in Ekiti State, poses security threat to bring down President Buhari’s government.
In a statement by the Ekiti-APC Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, the party accused Fayose of conducting himself in a manner that threatens national security, saying the governor’s recent utterances and actions suggest acts of sabotage targeted at rendering national institutions ineffective to perform their statutory roles for effective government in a federal set-up.
Olatunbosun added that in the alternative, the federal government should begin a process of trying the governor for treason to prevent anarchy in the system.
