I think Osinbajo should lend his campaign team to Asiwaju.
He took things to a new level . And I believe that even in small things country should pursue finesse.
The Osinbajo team had class. Their expertise shouldn’t go redundant . Were they around Jagaban we would have had better pictures and better arguments
Not all these trashy agbado talk. The quality has dropped. The finesse has disappeared. The content has gone pedestrian. We can’t be here for five months for nursery school rhymes.
Jagaban should wear a blue suit and address a Chatham house gathering. Not hanging in a backyard. Even Buhari attempted it. Jagaban should be the consummate technocrat turned astute politician. He should be addressing Oxford students.
I don’t know Jagaban’s current handlers. I don’t know their ambitions and inhibitions . I don’t know if they seek to project him as a foremost African leader. I have heard references of him being another Awo and Azikiwe.
Well to be Awo and Azikiwe he has to do more than must defeating Obi and Atiku . He had to play in the champions league of the international intellectual terrain. He has to read, sythesize his thoughts and profess sound ideas. He can’t do that by avoiding interviews . He will do that by getting good at handling interview questions .
I have heard some say I don’t understand politics . They are naive. That I seek finesse and ideals doesn’t mean I do know that an agbero can be a good president. Though he can’t be a remarkable president. I know ugly real politics. But I often leave that for the agberos in our midst to feast upon.
I know many people here just want an APC president. Or a Yoruba president. They want their side to win. That’s all.
Well, Africa needs a strong and sound leader
