Hello my name is Franklin. I live at Oremeji str Ekoro Road Abule Egba Lagos under your distribution area and I am very disappointed and infuriated at your service in the area to which I have written in to complain before now. But today, I wish to compile and express my displeasures here.
Please note that mine is not an isolated case of one customer who just likes to complain because he has a communication channel. If you take a survey of your business do strict you will feel the sadness and anger of those who are your customers. If only the people know that IKEDC is the reason they don’t have power, they will storm your office instead of blaming government. I have simply chosen to live above complaints to engaging directly.
To start with, kindly furnish me with power distribution in terms of hours with emphasis on the area mentioned above. I have heard that power supply has improved up to at least 18 hours. But in my area, it is not the same. I calculated about 10/12 hours total supply yesterday. That is quite abysmal for the reputation of IKEDC.
Kindly update me on this please to know what to expect in the average.
Secondly, my bill is quite outrageous. Where I lived before I moved to my current apartment (in October), I used a prepaid meter and with 3k,i was okay for a month plus. But since I moved into this new place, I received6500 as October bill,9400 as November bill and 9100 as December bill. What’s that about?
I reside in a two bedroom apartment with only light bulbs, TV, fridge and fans. Which of these home appliances (with the epileptic power supply) uses up to 9k per month?
I wish to use this medium to protest my billing and request a downward review of the bill sent to me. I also wish to know where I can take this to for a review before I proceed to making payment. Unfortunately, I receive the bill as forwarded to the landlord and cannot present a physical paper. But I have the bill in my phone as evidence.
On a third note, there is an ungodly trend I have noticed with your service. During the yuletide, we enjoyed almost 24hrs power for about a week. This made us realise that such was possible. However before that and since January 6, we experience power outage at about 8/9 pm and then it is restored at 4am. Please why is this so? Why do we have to sleep in heat and have power when we are rising up to hit the road? Why can we not have power at night when people are more likely to be at home? Why do you choose for us when to give light? Why can we not have at least 18 hours light if 24 hrs is still a dream?
Please respond to all these.
Thanks in anticipation of your prompt attention to these issues raised and do accept the assurances of my continuous cooperation when these things are fully addressed.
Regards.
