Obese Passenger Gets Stuck In First Class Seat For 9 Hours

British Airways had to remove parts of the aircraft and use a hoist to remove a first-class passenger who was stuck in his seat for 3 hours after the 6-hour flight from Lagos, Nigeria, had landed in London on Tuesday.

The passenger, who was traveling in seat 1A, didn’t even know he had gotten wedged in the seat until he tried to leave the aircraft after landing.

When the cabin crew were not able to wiggle him free, emergency services, with the help of BA engineering, had to devise a plan.

In the end, the seat door was ultimately removed, and the passenger was released from his luxury confines using the hoist.
