Microsoft is About to Drop the “Ultimate Mobile Device”, the Surface Phone

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) CEO Satya Nadella has confirmed that the software giant is working on “the ultimate mobile device.” That device is believed to be the Surface Phone, which has been rumored for a long time. Talking to the Australian Financial Review, Nadella said that his company was already present in “structural innovation” in the phone arena and was focusing on productivity, management and security in mobile.

Microsoft is expected to launch a new line of smartphones under the Surface brand in 2017. Rumors suggested that the Surface Phone will be powered by the company’s Windows 10 operating system. The new Phone is rumored replace the iPhone as a smartphone superstar. Some reports suggested that the new Microsoft phone will arrive in early next year.

The Surface Pen will offer more precise and accurate input method, while the removable keyboard will be used for all the long typing sessions, according to the reports.

“We will continue to be in the phone market not as defined by today’s market leaders, but by what it is that we can uniquely do in what is the most ultimate mobile device,” Nadella said.
