A three-storey building under construction has collapsed in the Ilasa area of Lagos state, leaving many, especially workers, trapped.
A witness said the incident occurred around 2pm.
Rescue operation is ongoing at the building located at 2/4, Richard Abimbola, Off Limca Road, Ire Adri Estate.
The Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) is treating some of the victims, while others have been taken to the hospital.
Adesina Tiamiyu, general manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), said his men rescued 15 workers.
Tiamiyu said no death had been recorded.
Rasak Fadipe, director, Lagos state fire service, also told NAN that all the 15 victims so far rescued from the debris were being rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi Araba, for treatment.
“As of 5:15pm, rescue operations are still ongoing. We have NEMA, the Lagos State Management Agency (LASEMA), the police, and officials of the Lagos State Building Control Agency, all involved in the operations,” he said.
