Liverpool FC has announced that Mohamed Salah has signed a new contract, securing his future at the club beyond the 2024-25 season.
The prolific forward, who has been instrumental in Liverpool’s success, has committed to extending his stay at Anfield.
Salah’s current campaign has been nothing short of spectacular, with 32 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions.
Of those, 27 goals have come in the Premier League, where he currently leads the scoring charts. His contributions don’t stop there—he has also provided 22 assists, further cementing his status as one of the Premier League’s top performers.
The new contract will see Salah continue his extraordinary journey at Liverpool, where he has already enjoyed an eight-year tenure, helping the team challenge for major trophies. His decision to stay reflects his belief in the team’s potential to win more silverware in the years ahead.
In an exclusive interview with Liverpoolfc.com, Salah shared his excitement about the future: “Of course, I’m very excited. We have a great team now. We’ve always had a great team, but I signed because I believe we can win more trophies and enjoy playing football together. I’ve had the best years of my career here, and hopefully, we’ll make it to 10 years. I’m enjoying my life and my football here.”
He continued: “I want to say to the fans that I’m very, very happy to be here. I signed because I believe we can win many more big trophies together. Keep supporting us, and we’ll give it our all. We hope to add more trophies to our collection in the future.”
Since joining Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017, Salah has become a club legend. His remarkable goal-scoring record has propelled him to third place in the club’s all-time top scorers list, with 243 goals in 394 appearances to date.
Throughout his time at Anfield, Salah has helped Liverpool secure seven major honours, including the Premier League, Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, and two League Cups.
Individually, he has won the Premier League Golden Boot three times, been named PFA Players’ Player of the Year twice, and earned two FWA Footballer of the Year awards.
With his future now firmly secured at Liverpool, Salah is focused on adding to his already impressive list of achievements, as he looks to help the team continue its pursuit of football’s biggest prizes.
