Enugu—The Interim Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, Dr. Ejike Asadu, has predicted victory for Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in the 2019 elections in Enugu State.
Asadu, who spoke in Nsukka, said All Progressives Congress, APC, will not win 10 percent of the votes in Enugu State in view of the hardship being experienced by Nigerians, especially Ndigbo, who were being punished for complaining about marginalisation.
He said Governor Ugwuanyi had, by his prudent management of resources, constructed roads as well as carried out other infrastructure development, even as civil servants were being promptly paid their salaries.
On the activities of his local government, Asadu said the greatest problem facing the council was payment of primary school teachers’ salaries and gully erosion, which had been wreaking havoc in the town.
He added that majority of the teachers earned from grade levels nine and 16, taking about 80 percent of all monthly allocations.
