The Lagos State Executive Council, yesterday began a four-day retreat to discuss government’s policy direction in order to serve the citizenry better.
The retreat, the first to be held under Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration, will end on Saturday.
The executive council members are expected to brainstorm on government policies and programmes.
A statement by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Steve Ayorinde, said the retreat would focus on three key issues – security, job creation and infrastructure development. The retreat will also concretise plans to turn Lagos to a “smart city.”
According to Ayorinde, the council will build on the solid foundation already laid by Governor Ambode in the past four and half months by executing policies that will keep Lagos ahead as theCentre of Excellence.
