Dear Uncle Jimi,
I am one of you enrapt listeners and a big fan of yours though I have never called you but I like your objectivity in your presentations.
There has been a burning issue that I think I would like to bring to your knowledge. The issue of unpleasant and indiscriminate use of sirens in Lagos State. After the Rear Admiral and Ms. Uzoma Okeke episode in Victoria island, the enforcement agencies seem to close their eyes at this very ugly and uncivilized way our dignitaries in their exotic cars and Toyota hilux drivers turn on their siren on a jolly ride and harass other public road users.
Are we waiting for another ugly incidence to occur again before we wake up and put on our thinking caps?
Of recent I witnessed a driver carrying a mattress behind his Toyota hilux suv hood along Ozumba Nbadiwe (around law school area) blazing his siren. He was alone and felt like enjoying what his bosses do enjoy. This has become the order of the day in Lagos Island especially in the morning hours and at close of work.
Who can enforce this indiscriminate use of sirens on our public roads?
Uncle Jimi, please we would like you to discuss this at one of your radio talks.
Thank you sir.
George.
