REACTION TO “How Buhari Can Arrest Diezani And Okonjo-Iweala On May 29 By Illesanmi Omabomi”
I think Jimi Disu does his blog a lot of damage, by passing along this kind of a crude call to witch hunts, disguised as some form of a high-minded journalism. Illesanmi Omabomi does not seem, from this article, to know what justice means. I think the writer is one of the terrible political minds that democracy, misconstrued as a government by the crude and violent mob; a government by the hoi polloi for the unwashed; a government by the raging despotic license of the applause-line seekers in city center, where people are burned alive to the delight of the monsters, posing as “the people” is liable to produce.
Hopefully, this kind of a mind and a citizen does not represent the majority of enlightened minds in Nigeria. Otherwise, we should call for an end to the democratic enterprise in Nigeria immediately. Such a citizenry, such mass minds posing as informed political actors do not deserve self-government. They deserve military junta rule of the pure type, with none of the farcical roles of a judiciary used for window-dressing, and for legitimizing a criminal enterprise, as a so-called government.
Coming as this does, after a successful presidential election in Nigeria, if this represents anything from a significant number of Nigerians, we should say: shame on you, Nigeria! You do not even deserve the services of any sane person.
na wah for you o madam Fubara “oloyinbo” what has JD got to do with the article? is he the writer? even if he is, must we all share the same view? c’mon!
What is this writer saying, is he he saying that when govt officials steal while in office, they should be given a part on their back and encourage more looting? I wonder where Nigeria is going. I have not use light from NEPA (phcn) for close to three years now, Nigerias four refineries are always having billions of our Naira for Turn-Around Maintenance, the same refineries that are moribund, yet we pay for subsidy of imported (our crude) fuel that are refined in their private refineries outside Nigeria, yet they (nepa) keep bringing their bills and you are saying they should be left alone. I think we really need our head examined. For Nigeria to move forward those that stole should be brought to book to teach other some lesson. Uncle Jimi you’re very ok, let the looters advocates continue to slander you, God will surely vindicate you.
JD,it is about time you found a way of attaching on each article written, may be, by the corner of the piece, that you merely posted the article on your blog so that people would stop thinking that you wrote whatever piece found there. But by the way,I would like to advise Fubara that he should do a lot of reading and may be a lot more practices of writing, giving his friends to assess him and may be then and only then would he begin to write not just what sheds light but also what gives direction;otherwise he would be getting a lot of negative backlash. I can see he has the desire to always write but his readers should be able to enjoy his write ups. Just a piece of advice please.
I think that people who are already calling for the arrest of any present day government official are rather being to hasty. They must realise that we are not in a military era where orders are carried out with fiat. There will always be due process. Let Buhari settle down first, I believe he would look into the books. We shall get there by the grace of God
