July 9 (UPI) — A 6-year-old girl in India unofficially broke a Guinness World Record by identifying 93 airlines by the designs on the tails of their planes in one minute.
Aarna Gupta, 6, of Panchkula, Haryana, identified the airlines July 1, earning a spot in the International Book of Records and unofficially breaking a Guinness World Record.
Neha Gupta, the girl’s mother, said she saw her daughter’s unusually powerful memory at a young age.
“We noticed that her memory is sharp and she is skilled so we thought of encouraging her more so she could achieve something bigger,” Neha Gupta told ANI News.
Evidence from the girl’s record attempt still must be approved by Guinness officials. The record-keeping organization currently lists the record at 39, which was set by 12-year-old Siddhant Gumber in November 2020.
