EFCC To Confiscate Badeh’s Properties Despite Former CDS’s Assassination

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will pursue the trial of late former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, to a logical conclusion which may mean the confiscation of the late CDS’s properties despite his unfortunate death.

An EFCC official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, stated that the Commission was determined to pursue the ongoing trial to a conclusive end and recover all illegally acquired properties by the deceased.

It would be recalled that before his assassination, Badeh was standing trial alongside Iyalikam Nigeria Limited, before Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja (Federal Capital Territory) was accused of abusing his position by diverting Nigeria Air Force (NAF), funds for personal enrichment and acquisition of properties in choice areas in Abuja.

The EFCC, in October, closed its case in the N3.9 billion money laundering against the former Chief of Air Staff.
