Division In PDP, Colossal Damage To Atiku’s Chances, Says SWAGA By Ayodele Afolabi

The South-West Agenda for Asiwaju Tinubu 2023 Presidency (SWAGA), yesterday, said that division in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had done a colossal damage to the chances of its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in the 2023 polls.

Chairman of SWAGA and former Minister of Works, Senator Dayo Adeyeye, said the emergence of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as presidential candidates of Labour Party (LP) and New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) respectively, had depleted Atiku’s votes and narrowed his winning chances.

Adeyeye, said that the alleged meeting of Tinubu and Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, in London, to perfect alliance ahead of 2023 election, would further brighten the chances of the former Lagos State Governor to clinch the presidency.

The former minister spoke while featuring on a political programme on African Independent Television (AIT) and monitored in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

Adeyeye expressed optimism that Tinubu has a strong political networks across Nigeria to defeat Atiku, his closest rival and other opponents without going into a run-off as being predicted.

The SWAGA leader said the hoopla generated by same-faith ticket adopted by the APC would soon be over, saying that the noise around such arrangement had been quenched shortly after the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, emerged the Director-General of Tinubu/Shettima Campaign organisation.

The former minister dismissed the widespread insinuation that Tinubu is terminally sick to lead a country with multifarious challenges, saying he is mentally alert to lead and ensure good governance.
