Good morning Uncle Jimi,
Today, I observed that your tone and approach on the above subject was softer than your position yesterday.
The poetic hymn writer – John Bunyan – says “He that is down need fear no fall”. There is so much frustration in the land. Our humanity has been devalued. Many of us have been reduced to disguised beggars because the purchasing power of our income has evaporated.
We are down and forlorn so why should we be afraid. The protest would simply offer the hapless people a platform to socially communicate to the insensitive government about our despondency. Hope has become a mirage. Death or alive, we are economically miserable and spiritually vulnerable.
There is always a price to pay if things go wrong. It is all part of the sacrifice. There may be casualties but we cannot because of blood stop to undertake medical procedure or slaughter animal otherwise we are going to be held captive by fear itself and fear of fear of failure.
Not trying at all may be worse than attempting and failing to produce desired results. Let the people go ahead with the protest. The Americans nor Europeans would not help us deal with issues of recurring governance failure.
