Dear Jimi: Changes I Love to See By Bj Dplenty

jimidisuDear Sir,

Thanks for providing this platform and making your contacts accessible. like i text on WhatsApp i am on the opinion that if we can push some changes things may get better.
1. NATIONAL ID CARD
The National ID Card is a laudable project but we keep missing the deadline if you check the commission site under Media/Speeches ( http://www.nimc.gov.ng/?q=speeches ) and justapoze with the new directive from the VP you will be amazed how we find it difficult to progress on this.
I will like you to push this idea to the government on ID:
a: The payment chip should be made optional/removed: le those who need ATM visit their banks, so no bank have the backdoor advantage, then thieves/police would not also harass citizen  who hold the card.

b: The NIN ( National Identity Number) should be a prerequisite to obtain vital documents like Passport, Register for SSCE, JAMB, Account Opening, SIM Reg e.tc, for every point where it is demanded a registration desk should be available.
c: The card should be produced and distributed quickly.
2. NATIONAL WEBSITE
We need a content strategy for the country website which for now is not functioning and to be own/managed by ministry of information. please check nigeria.gov.ng. foreigners and citizen  alike need the portal to follow and interact with MDAs.
Please inform Alhaji Lai Mohamed
3. TECHNICAL/VOCATION JOBS
I listen to the last discourse on the dearth of technicians. my suggestion to the government is to provide a scheme that recruit artisans and train them. have a portal/contact page where people can engage them.
The entry criteria will be that such person is already practicing the trade, and if they are assured of visibility/jobs through this scheme they will attend the training.
The database of re-trained artisans will now be accessible.
4. IMMIGRATION FORM AT AIRPORT
Recently i passed through the international airport and i will like we make some things easy for citizens and foreigners especially in filling the immigration forms.
while leaving there is no convenient place/desk to place the forms and filled everyone is using the rails/bag.
Also at arrival, for no-nigeria they also are required to filled the form while standing on queue.
a. Please a desk should be provided where travellers can pick the form and filled at arrival and departure.
b. I also feel that we can provide a downloadable forms online for passengers to fill print and drop at the airport.
I will like to stop at this point, i still have a lot to share though.
END
