It is a sad development that governors should get this type of jumbo pension after 8 or 4 years of service which actually is no service. In the same system, we have civil servants who put in up to 35years of service and go with peanuts and this they say is comrade’s governor. The newly sworn in governor of Edo state cannot in all sincerity claim that signing in that pension was the most pressing issue in Edo state or the most pressing issue on his table but obviously this arrangement must have been worked and agreed upon with the out going governor. Shame, honestly shame upon the comrades governor for succumbing to this. We have this jumbo pension already existing in Lagos as well as Akwa Ibom States. These jumbo pensions are inhumane and anti people and any states governors implementing these jumbo pension are just playing on the intelligence of his people.
