The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has said President Goodluck Jonathan’s tactless show during his visit to Borno and Yobe States last week has worsened the Boko Haram insurgency.
In a statement issued in Lagos Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party also said while the decision to grant amnesty to any person or group is the prerogative of the government, the argument advanced by the President for denying amnesty to Boko Haram members is as illogical as it is puerile.
The ACN is right here.somehow the president got it all wrong.in a bid to appear tough,he has thrown another bomb at the issue.what struggle, violent or otherwise, justifiable or not has not ended up at the negotiating table for resolution?
THE PRESIDENT STILL NEEDS TO ACQUIRE THE ART OF DIPLOMACY AND TACT,BUT TO BE HONEST,THAT APPEARS TO BE TOO LATE IN THE DAY TO HAPPEN.THE HARM HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE
Jimi, it is only you and ACN that seems to be in one page on this issue of amnesty for Boko haram. Every other Nigerian thinks differently. I am beginning to suspect your opposition stand oooo.
