ENUGU— A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Director General of Voice of Nigeria, VON, Osita Okechukwu, has asked Ndigbo to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term in office to pave way for a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction in 2023.
Okechukwu spoke during the 10th anniversary of the coronation of Ambassador Lawrence Agubuzu as traditional ruler of Olo, in Enugu State weekend.
The VON boss who also represented President Buhari on the occasion at Olo Kingdom, Enugu State, also urged Igbo to support the Buhari regime’s plan to construct federal roads in the South-East, Second Niger Bridge, revamp Enugu coal, modernise agriculture and generate employment among others.
He said support for Buhari’s presidency would further benefit Ndigbo immensely through infrastructural development, employment generation, agriculture and social security as prelude to Buhari’s second term.
APC alleges disruption of registration exercise in Ebonyi Meantime, the Ebonyi State Acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze, weekend, alleged that members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, were responsible for the recent attack on his party stalwart, Mr. Ugochukwu Nwangele, in Enyigwe village, Ndiegbor Ezza-Enyimagu community in Izzi Local Government Area of the state.
But in a quick reaction, the State Chairman of the PDP, Onyekachi Nwebonyi, who denied any knowledge of such development said PDP, being law-abiding, would never attack another political party as APC was non-extent in the state.
