Almost four days after its inception on Nigerian social media, the #EndSARS campaign has refused to abate.
While it rages on, a video showing men of the special anti-robbery squad (SARS) arresting a supposedly innocent man in Abeokuta, Ogun state, has surfaced online.
In a video shared by Instablog9ja, the victim was said to be on his way to wash a car when he was arrested.
The individuals in the video can be seen asking the officers for the man’s offence, but they could not give any reason for arresting him.
Despite the police’s announcement that SARS will be reorganised and restructured, Nigerians, unconvinced, have continued to call for the scrapping of the unit.
