THE PREMIER LEAGUE RETURNS;Arsenal takes on Chelsea on Sunday

The ‘unofficial’ 2015/16 season opener for the English Premier League takes place this Sunday, 2nd August, at the famous Wembley Stadium and will see Arsenal, having defended their FA Cup title, take on Chelsea, the current League Champions in what many will hope sets the tone for another exciting 10 months of Football.

The customary summer break has seen a lot of intrigue with pre-season tournaments and market activity; Angel di Maria handing in a transfer request to Paris Saint Germain, Sczeny going to Roma on loan, Sergio Ramos linked with a move to Manchester United who have signed Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin and Depay, and Raheem Sterling finally leaving Liverpool for the blue half of Manchester.

The season kicks off on Saturday 8th August with the Champions and Manchester United in action against Swansea and Tottenham respectively, while Arsenal and Liverpool will have to wait for their opening games on the 9th against West Ham and Stoke City. The newly promoted sides will all play their first matches of the season on the opening day with Bournemouth hosting Aston Villa, Watford away to Everton and Norwich welcoming Crystal Palace to Carrow Road.
