Sudan Declares 6-Month State Of Emergency In Two Provinces

The Government of Sudan on Saturday declared a state of emergency in two states, according to government news agency SUNA.

According to President Omar al-Bashir, the six-month state of emergency was declared in Kassala and North Kurdufan, as part of ongoing disarmament campaigns which started near Darfur and Blue Nile in October.
