PREMIUM TIMES columnist convenes public lecture to launch El-Rufai’s book in Canada

A PREMIUM TIMES columnist, Pius Adesanmi, is organizing a public lecture in Canada as part of the launch of Nasir El-Rufai’s book,The Accidental Public Servant.

The lecture, with theme: “Post Colonial Writing and the Challenge of Public Service in Africa” will hold Thursday, May 2nd, 2013 at the Tory building of Carleton University, Ottawa Canada, at  7p.m.

According to the convener, Mr. Adesanmi, the event is being organized as “the Diaspora presentation and unveiling of Nasir El Rufai’s memoir, The Accidental Public Servant”.

He also said the keynote lecture would be delivered by Professor Harry Garuba of the Centre for African Studies, University of Cape Town, after which the book presentation would be followed by a town hall meeting with members of the Nigerian community in Ottawa.

The town hall  meeting, featuring Pastor Tunde Bakare and Mr. El Rufai, would focus on the theme: ”Public Service and Democratic Governance in Nigeria: Prospects and Challenges”
