Nigeria moves one step on FIFA ranking ….. VANGUARD

eagles-bench-702x336Nigeria climbed one spot to 52nd in the latest FIFA ranking published yesterday in Zurich. However, the Super Eagles retained the tenth position in the African continent.

Algeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Tunisia and Senegal are the best 5 teams in Africa in that order.

The Super Eagles next opponents Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon are ranked 60th and 48th respectively while potential World Cup qualifying opponents Swaziland and Djibouti occupy 135th and 206th positions respectively.

Argentina continue to top the ranking followed by Germany, Belgium, Portugal and Colombia.

The next world ranking will be published by the official website of Fifa on 5 November 2015.
