Liverpool forward, Jordon Ibe, will not play for Nigeria as he has opted for England, according to Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh.
Oliseh, who recently held discussions with the youngster in England over the possibility of playing for Nigeria, confirmed the player has chosen England Three Lions.
“Jordon Ibe’s family informed me by a telephone call, that he was giving priority to an England call-up. We wish them well,” Oliseh tweeted.
This comes just after England boss, Roy Hodgson, revealed he has his eyes on the England Under-21 international, but insisted the forward has to earn his place in his team and he will not rush to cap at full international so as to keep him out of reach of other countries who may be interested in having him.
