Ace American comedian and actor, Bill Cosby has been charged with “aggravated indecent assault” for allegedly drugging and sexually molesting Andrea Constand in January 2004. The 78-year-old has been a subject of numerous allegations of sexual assaults by more than 50 women in the past.
Cosby is said to have drugged and sexually exploited Constand when she worked with Temple University’s basketball team and himself an alumni of the team. Miss Constand narrated that she and Cosby had “fostered a friendship” so that she considered him to be “both her friend, albeit older, and a mentor”.
He had invited her to his mansion in Cheltenham on the guise that he ”wanted to offer her assistance in her pursuit of a different career,” but ended up drugging and sexually molesting.
According to a suit filed by Constand, felt “stressed” about making her career decision and so she consulted Cosby who ”offered [her] three blue pills, which he told her were herbal medication, which would help her relax”.
After taking the pills, Constand said her “knees began to shake, her limbs felt immobile, she felt dizzy and weak, and she began to feel only barely conscious,” she asked Cosby’s help as she could no longer move on her own and he led her to a sofa where he had his way with her in a “semi-conscious” state before she finally lost consciousness.
“Subsequently, [Cosby] positioned himself behind [Constand] on the sofa, touched her breasts and vaginal area, rubbed his penis against her hand, and sexually assaulted her,” the suit said.
It added that she woke up later around 4.am and was “feeling raw in and around her vaginal area,” while her “clothes and undergarments were in disarray,” and that Cosby greeted her “in his bathrobe”.
Cosby admits that he had sexual contact with the now 42-year-old Constand but said it was consensual; she at the time was said to be in a homosexual relationship with an unnamed woman.
