CBN Governor: I Don’t Need Second Term 10 Mar 2013….THIS DAY

Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi may have foreclosed the possibility of a second term in office after the expiration of his term next year.

Sanusi was quoted in an interview with the London-based Banker Magazine as saying he had completed his assignment at the apex bank and would not be seeking a second term in office.

I am sure Sanusi is aware that Nigerians are not ready to contend with a “37th political governor”,which he has become.brilliant as he may be,he has turned a seemingly conservative position into a glamour job moving from one controversy to another.Besides he has to go cash his 100 million naira iou to his state by either asking his people to vote for him as governor or patiently waiting in the wings for an upper calling so he can fulfill his life ambition to become the Emir of his home town,Kano…..

I don’t understand people these days,rather than criticize this man we should thank him for coming out boldly to say this,how many political appointees of today can say this.we should always implore our fifth sense in things going on around us,the NA has queried him,the people has raise questions too,but those that really appointed him has never queried him,cant we see.this is not our fundamental problem in this country now.
