Bouncers Attack Punch, NTA Journalists At Lagos Marathon | TheCable

Journalists from the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Punch Newspaper were assaulted by bouncers engaged by the organisers of the 2nd Access Bank Lagos City marathon.

According to NAN, the guards prevented accredited journalists from carrying out their duties, and treated them poorly at the VIP arena.

The reporters journalists were supposed to have access to the VIP area, work station, mixed zone and press conference rooms but the macho men prevented them from accessing the VIP.

Dissemination of information to the media was said to have been poorly handled by the organisers.

The journalists also complained about the accreditation tag, which did not have a lot of areas filled in their accreditation forms.

The 42km race started at the National Stadium and ended at the Eko Atlantic City.
