I write to bring to the attention of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State the unbearable, noisy and disturbing activities of the Christ Miracle Church Mission of 38 Haruna Street, Haruna Bus Stop, off College Road, Ifako Agege. Lagos.
The church is adjourning my compound at the above mentioned address.
Since the arrival of the church sometime in early 2014, it has made life and living unbearable for me and other occupants of my house as a result of the loud noise emanating from its musical instruments.
The nuisance caused by the activities of the church is not only limited to the normal Sunday and mid-week services, but also week-day vigils and musical/choir rehearsals as well as early morning programmes every week.
The activities of the church have made it impossible for me and members of my household to have a sound sleep or rest anytime it is conducting its services/programmes.
Sadly, all efforts (including pleas) by me and other residents of Haruna Street to make the church abate this nuisance have been ignored or greeted with hostility.
We have also made complaints to the relevant government authorities particularly, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency by our letters of October 8, 2014 and August 28, 2015 respectively.
Surprisingly, no action has been taken till date by the agency, my several visits and calls to the agency notwithstanding.
I hereby humbly urge Governor Ambode, through this reputable medium, to use his good offices to take up this issue with the relevant authorities and ensure the abatement of the continuous nuisance by the church.
