ABOUT three governors of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former presidents of the country have agreed to fund the newly-formed All Progressives Congress (APC), just as the new party may likely face registration hurdles with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over its acronym, APC.
The APC seems to be making some progress.All the reactions and incidents recorded in this story are not unexpected.if the acronym APC is not available,nothing spoil,they would look for another or just “buy” the registration of the existing party.as to the report that some PDP governors might be secretly funding the party,we all know that Nigerian politicians don’t have a good history of being moved ideologically.It usually is a question of quest for power and subsequently ill gotten riches.But then in moving forward we all have to admit to ourselves that we would do so with the good, the bad, and the ugly.What is most important for now is that we have a formidable opposition to put the brazenes of the PDP in check.
